The Grapevine
LITTLE KINDER   Last week we visited the Rosa Mundi children at morning circle time and listened
to the verses and songs they were learning.  We also had a special visitor in the garden.  A friendly
blue-tongued lizard came out from his home, lay in the sun and ate some of the apple the children had
put out for him.

KINDERGARTEN/PREP    The children have had an exciting week as the Preps had their first visit to the school library.  The kinder children had an extended session and stayed for lunch just like the big kids!

CLASS 1 & 2  Finally the Class One children have begun their first reader, which is very exciting for
them.  We are also rehearsing for our play and the children cannot wait to try out their costumes and
new found props!

CLASS 3 & 4  We have begun making our dolls in craft, concentrating on little stitches.  Not so easy
for some!  For Main Lesson we are revisiting fractions with the help of Idun’s apples.  Excitement is
building as we are to begin making our Viking shields.

CLASS 5 & 6   We had a memorable day of Olympic glory and gracious sportsmanship on the fields of Little Yarra Steiner school.  It was a long journey but well worth the effort to experience a fantastic sharing of both Ancient Greek and Steiner school culture.

CLASS 7 & 8   “We are such stuff as dreams are made on, and our little life is rounded with a sleep.”
We are ready (or nearly) for our performances this week.  We are in the PAC all week getting used to
the larger space.
